Tables from which visitors can learn more about the Schuylkill River Canal in Mont Clare, and efforts to preserve and restore it, will be operating May 3 and 4 at retail stores in Collegeville and Exton. Volunteer help is needed.

Canal Bathes In A Holiday Glow During Annual Show

The Schuylkill Canal towpath from Route 29 in Mont Clare, near Phoenixville, to Lock 60 inside the historic park there, will be lined next weekend with a softly glowing luminaria display. The event is free and open to the public.

Phoenixville Month-End Festival Celebrates Shad

Scheduled for April 30, the first-ever Schuylkill River Shad Festival in Phoenixville will celebrate the return of a fish that once helped grow the entire region’s economy. Lots of activities are scheduled.
