Royerford's Daybreak Church Makes A (Small) Move

Brooke Elementary School

ROYERSFORD PA – Daybreak Community Church is on the move, according to its pastor, the Rev. Dave Hakes. Beginning Sunday (Jan. 12, 2014) its services will be held weekly at 10 a.m. in Brooke Elementary School, 339 N. Lewis Rd. For the disabled, wheelchair assistance is available at curbside.

The congregation formerly worshiped at Spring-Ford Area High School on South Lewis Road. Its last services there, on Jan. 5, ended with a free pizza party. It was a way of saying goodbye to the high school … and to compensate for the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff football loss a day earlier, Hakes joked on Twitter.

The church was founded in 1999 in Schwenksville PA, and moved to Royersford during 2001, its website said. The congregation, which began with only two families, now includes more than 50. For more information, all the church office at 610-489-8080.
