SPRING CITY PA – Dozens of area veterans and their families recently attended the dedication of the new all-denominations chapel at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Center in Spring City PA, according to Billy Worrell, adjutant of American Legion Post 244 in Sanatoga. He took these photos of the crowd and the colorful stained glass windows they admired in the just-opened facility. “My camera could not let me do these impressive stain glass windows the justice the needed,” Worrell wrote in an e-mail. The windows were designed and built by Joseph Beyer of Beyer Studio Inc. in Philadelphia, and Worrell reported that Beyer and his father, who is a World War II veteran, also were there. Several of the windows received financial support from veterans’ organizations across Greater Pottstown and western Montgomery County, as well as from other parts of the eight-county Philadelphia region.
