ROYERSFORD PA – How inexpensively can Royersford dispose of recyclable trash? That’s a question members of borough council hope to have answered as early as Oct. 17.
A legal advertisement placed Wednesday (Sept. 18) by Borough Manager Michael Leonard announced it would seek bids “for the collection, transportation and disposal of recycling within the borough limits.” Royersford wants bidders to offer proposals for collection over a single year, as well as for two, three, four, and five years.
It gave itself the option of choosing a bid for the time frame council members think best. Bids are due Oct. 17, and are expected to be reviewed Oct. 29 by council members. The content of the legal notice appears below:
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Royersford is requesting bids for the Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Recycling within the Borough limits. All bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Borough. Specifications and bid Package may be obtained on line at www.royersfordborough.org under “news and events” tab and at the office of the Borough Manager, Borough of Royersford, 300 Main Street, Royersford, PA 19468, Bids must be sealed, clearly marked “Recycling”, stamped and received no later than 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2013.
The bids shall be for one year 2014; Two years 2014 and 2015; Three Years 2014, 2015, and 2016; Four Year 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017; and Five Years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, as selected by the Borough.
All bids will be opened promptly at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the Borough Hall 300 Main Street. The Borough Council will review the bids at its public meeting at Borough Hall 300 Main Street on October 29, 2013 at 7:15 PM. Borough Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any non-material defects or informalities in any bid.
