Fill Up On Food-Related Tunes In Trappe And Pottstown
TRAPPE PA – If you’re hungry for good music, the Coventry Singers group is serving two opportunities – in Trappe and in Pottstown – for you to fill up and be satisfied.
Concerts that the Singers are describing as their “musical feast … a fun and whimsical collection of music related to food and drink,” will be performed April 13 (2013; Saturday) at 3 p.m. in Augustus Lutheran Church, 717 W. Main St., Trappe, and April 14 (Sunday) at 3 p.m. in Cedarville United Methodist Church, 1092 Laurelwood Rd., Pottstown.
The concerts are free and open to the public, although donations will be accepted.
The program includes “Cockles and Mussels,” “Chili Con Carne,” and for dessert, “Animal Crackers.” Participants will be toasted with Die Fledermaus and a helping of “Java Jive.” Director Julie Eurillo conducts the choir of about 50 voices. Frederick Bahr is the guest organist, and longtime Coventry Singers accompanist Corinne Griffiths is returning for the concert.
