BEAUTY IS WHERE SHE FINDS IT – Sophomore Kaycie Vandentop apparently uses her cell phone camera everywhere on or around the campus of Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville PA. She photographs sunsets over the college parking lot. She snapped a pic of a program from a music recital to congratulate a friend. She even turned her cup of morning coffee into art for a day. It’s probably no surprise to her friends on Twitter, then, that Vandentop this week discovered beauty within the power of Hurricane Sandy. “Here we go,” she Tweeted during the storm’s arrival Monday (Oct. 29, 2012), and distributed a photo of oncoming rain rivulets streaking down a window at the college (above). Then, on Tuesday (Oct. 30), the cloudiness surrounding one of western Montgomery County’s most photographed sites captured her imagination too (below). “Limerick survived Hurricane Sandy,” she wrote, simply.

I love the photographs clicked by her. They have this hazy quality that brings a natural charm to them.
