ASSISTING A YOUNG BOY’S BRAVERY – Baked goods, trays loaded with hot dogs, and attic treasures for sale filled the bays of the Wayne Carl Garage, 326 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, on Saturday (Oct. 6, 2012) as community residents continued their fund-raising efforts to offset steep medical bills being incurred for Landon Vargas, a 4-year-old boy who is receiving chemotherapy treatments in his fight against cancer. Members of the Vargas family joined hundreds of hungry, bargain-hunting visitors and donors at the garage, with their cars lining the highway through the center of town.
