SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Children between the ages of 3 and 9 can walk a special pumpkin-lit path, and meet and talk with several nocturnal creatures, during the 22nd annual Halloween Night Hike sponsored by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy on Oct. 12 and 13 beginning at 6:15 nightly at the conservancy’s Brownstone Barn, located at Skippack Pike (Route 73) and Haldeman Road, just east of Schwenksville.

Linda Oltman, the conservancy’s assistant director for education, said the “friendly, guided hikes end at a campfire where refreshments and seasonal stories top off” the kids’ evening.
The event is highly popular and openings fill up quickly, Oltman reports. Pre-registration is required, and is accepted only on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to register, call the conservancy at 610-287-9383 or visit its website, here.
