GETTING A FIRST LOOK AT THE NEW HOSPITAL – Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, and Pottstown area residents were among the hundreds of curious visitors (above) who made a trek Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) east down Germantown Pike to East Norriton PA for the open house event at Einstein Montgomery, the new regional hospital built and operated by the Philadelphia-based Einstein Healthcare Network. They, and even health care professionals and first responders (left), inspected the environmentally conscious, state-of-the-art facility (below) that features high-tech medical tools, such as the Da Vinci robotic surgery suite (bottom). The medical center, located on 87 acres of a former golf course, will have 96 medical-surgical beds, a 22-bed intensive care unit, a 20-bed obstetrical unit, and an eight-bed neonatal intensive care unit. Opening day at the hospital, when its first patients arrive, is Saturday (Sept. 29).
