THEY CAME TO TRAPPE TO SEE THE PAST – A steady stream of history buffs (above) was drawn Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) to the grounds of the Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe PA for the annual Montgomery County History Fair, at which the county’s many historical societies and organizations gathered to make presentations, offer information on their activities, and show off the demonstration talents of several re-enactors. Politicians made an appearance, too, including Congressman Jim Gerlach (on the left, looking at a brochure, in the photo at right). The Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society was well represented by, among others, Beth Scherer (below, left) and Robin Guber. Demonstrators included (bottom) a pharmacist, a blacksmith, and a town crier.
