STATE COLLEGE PA – If you’re a fan of Penn State football, you probably won’t need to see the video that author Kevin McGuire posted Wednesday (Aug. 15, 2012) on his Nittany Lions Den blog. Yet the betting is good you won’t be able to resist watching it, either.
McGuire notes the start of the college football season is slightly more than two weeks away. Despite the university’s recent and continuing troubles, many of its alumni and even those who have never set foot on the main campus can’t wait for games to get under way. They’re stoked for a variety of reasons: the challenge of new competition, the desire to put months of tribulation behind them, the chance for redemption.
They don’t need more pumping up but, as McGuire notes, another “hype video … (has) hit the YouTube servers.” It’s only 2 minutes long, and watching it won’t tax your internet connection too severely. Those who least need such hype may enjoy it most.
And if you’re not yet excited about the season, beware: this clip might put you in the mood.
