ROYERSFORD PA – Emergency responders from Linfield, Spring City, Oaks, Mont Clare, and Royersford responded Sunday afternoon (June 3, 2012) to rescue a family of five who were stranded on an island in the Schuylkill River between Royersford and Spring City, the Limerick Patch online news service reported.
A 9-1-1 call for help first came in at about 1:30 p.m.; the rescue was completed in about 50 minutes, will all returned safely to shore.
