ROYERSFORD PA – Tim Driedger, a member of Boy Scout Troop 406 sponsored by Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford, has completed a renovation of basement storage space at the Spring-Ford Area Historical Society museum, 526 Main St., as his Eagle Scout project, society President Bill Brunner reported Sunday (Feb. 19, 2012) in The Limerick Patch online news service.
Brunner said the project involved “extensive cement and plaster work, as well as painting the walls with a special moisture barrier coating.” Driedger had some help from other members of his troop, several adults, and local business sponsors and donors. Planning for the work began last October, and it was completed in January.
The work “is not seen by the public, as visitors do not tour our basement. It is used mainly for storage,” Brunner explained.
