CONSHOHOCKEN PA – More than 120 of the most senior firefighters from across Montgomery County, including those from fire companies in the greater Pottstown area, are expected to attend the ninth annual county Chief Officers’ Seminar on Saturday (Jan. 28) from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Campus, 1175 Conshohocken Rd., Conshohocken PA, county spokesman John Corcoran said Thursday (Jan. 26).
In fact, he added, the campus will be a very busy place during the weekend. Firefighter veterans and volunteer newcomers alike, with vastly varying degrees of training and experience, will participate in courses being offered.
The seminar will address a number of topics regarding public safety programs and ongoing issues affecting the fire service.
On Sunday (Jan. 29), 52 students will begin an “Introduction To The Fire Service” class. It is the first of four courses they must complete to become volunteer firefighters. The training begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
