LIMERICK PA – Venezia Enterprises, a family-owned and -operated bulk trucking and hauling company with offices, trucking terminal, and garage spaces at 86 Airport Rd., Limerick PA, wants to expand on its 21-acre property located just south of Heritage Field airport. The township Zoning Hearing Board will consider its request during a hearing scheduled for Sept. 28 (2011; Wednesday) beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 646 W. Ridge Pike.
- This event has been added to The Post calendar.
An advertisement announcing the hearing appeared Thursday (Sept. 1) in The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper, Limerick’s publication of record for legal notices.
A rear portion of the property, currently surfaced in stone, is where Venezia proposes to erect a 130-foot by 70-foot pole barn structure. The land is zoned as office and light industrial use, which allows for an accessory structure that normally cannot exceed 1,200 square feet in size. The pole barn would be significantly larger, and so requires a variance.
