LIMERICK PA – Robert J. Weneck, who currently serves as a technology education teacher at Pottsgrove Middle School in Pottstown PA, was appointed Monday night (Aug. 8, 2011) as the new principal of the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center, 77 Graterford Rd., Limerick PA, by its joint operating committee.
His $90,000-a-year job became effective Tuesday (Aug. 9), even though he has not yet officially tendered a resignation from his Pottsgrove position.
The center provides workforce and college prepatory training for high school students in the Spring-Ford Area, Upper Perkiomen, and Pottsgrove school districts.
Weneck’s appointment was happily announced during Tuesday night’s meeting of the Pottsgrove district Board of School Directors. District Superintendent Dr. Bradley Landis this year serves as the center’s superintendent of record, and district directors Philip Keogh, April Kontostathis and Scott Fulmer are Pottsgrove’s representatives on the committee.
Weneck will succeed Principal Margaret Roth. During its meeting Monday, the joint operating committee also approved new job descriptions for the positions of principal and the center’s administrative director.
