LIMERICK PA – A request by the Pottstown Honda automobile dealership to relocate its northern access driveway at 629 N. Lewis Rd., Limerick PA, is scheduled to be discussed Thursday (April 28, 2011) by the Limerick (PA) Township Planning Commission during its meeting beginning at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 646 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick. The meeting is open to the public.
Pottstown Honda initially presented its project to commission members Jan. 27 (2011). Moving the driveway would comply with the location approved for it by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, according to Adam Brower of the Edward B. Walsh & Associates Inc. civil engineering firm in Exton PA, who board minutes show represented the dealer at the time.
In addition, the dealer hopes to construct a 780-square foot addition to its existing building and other site improvements along its eastern side. During the January meeting, the minutes indicate, commissioners expressed concerns about visual access, building safety, parking islands, storm water infiltration, easements, and a manhole on Lewis Road. They took no action on the project during that meeting.
Also scheduled on the board’s agenda are:
- A discussion of electronic signage; and
- a Zoning Hearing Board advisory.
