Clearing Space For Costco’s New Store

MOVING CLOSER TO U.S. ROUTE 422 – Land preparation work for a new Costco Warehouse store and the first phase of the Gateway At Sanatoga shopping center in Limerick PA was far more visible Wednesday (Aug. 18, 2010)to eastbound drivers on U.S. Route 422 at the Sanatoga interchange. Bulldozers have moved from formerly clearing ground for Gateway Phase 2, near the southeast corner of Evergreen and Lightcap Roads. Now crews from Reading Site Contractors Inc. have started work on land closest to the east entrance ramp of 422, off Evergreen Road, where the Costco will be located. Brush, trees and other vegetation there was being scraped away by 8:15 a.m.

I went to the outlet today and the traffic was stopped for several minutes on lightcap for construction traffic. Seeing how it is back to school time they should do this work at night. it would not bother anyone since they already bulldozed over the houses up there.
