Calamity En Route To Collegeville To Meet A Chef

COLLEGEVILLE PA – Casey, who claims to live “in the back woods and country roads of Pennsylvania,” has a well-connected friend who is a manager at the Wegman’s Supermarket in Collegeville PA. He got her a ticket to attend the store’s book-signing event featuring Casey’s favorite southern chef, the Food Network‘s Paula Deen.

Casey was scheduled as No. 43 of 800 visitors to meet the Savannah Queen of “y’all,” but getting to Collegeville was no Dixie picnic, her boyfriend Brendan wrote last Sunday (April 11, 2010). For her part, Casey was so excited to meet Deen that all she could do was squeal.
