PHILADELPHIA PA – If the Philadelphia television Channel 6 view of Spring-Ford Senior High School’s award-winning Golden Rams marching band on Thanksgiving Day 2009 doesn’t suit you – maybe it’s too short, maybe it isn’t close enough – there’s a curbside alternative.
The band was among 12 selected from across the county to play last Thursday (Nov. 26, 2009) in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade, the nation’s oldest parade to observe the turkey-and-football holiday. The band gained television exposure across the region as its performance was broadcast by the ABC network’s Philadelphia affiliate, WPVI-TV. See it here.
There were personal video cameras rolling, too, down on the city’s streets. A lengthier look at the band’s performance, and certainly one from a different perspective, was captured and posted by YouTube account user vectorizer99 to the video sharing service.
